    USC vs. Notre Dame

    USC wins 34-27.

What does this say for USC? Or even Notre Dame?

USC was upset by Washington just a few weeks ago, and by the looks of things, Notre Dame gave them a run for their money as well. So is this just an ugly season for USC, or is Notre Dame a little bit better than we give them credit for? Clausen had 3 TDs today, two in the air, one on the ground, with no interceptions thrown. Not too shabby. On the flipside, he went 24 for 43 - those are a lot of incompletions.

I must say I'm impressed with the Irish, but still have lots of question marks surrounding USC at this point.

    Re: USC vs. Notre Dame

They're better than what they are given credit for, the only one that hyped them over the top was Lou Holtz...can't seem to see it from anyone else. It was a tight game the first half, in the second USC started to run away with it and went up by 20. Then some scoring and good defensive stands, 7 point game, and one play away from tying or winning in the last seconds. They're offense is a lot better than what people think, Clausen is too. He's not lived up to the hype coming out of HS, but he's also had an atrocious line. They should win out the rest of the games, doubt they'll be in big bowl game, but a decent one. Next year I see them up there in a big bowl game.
